Tinea Tinea is a fungus infection of the skin. It lies mainly in the region of the feet in between the toes, groin and any other part of the skin that is exposed to the fungus. Moist areas of your skin can aggravate this condition more. Years ago I suffered with it in between my toes. It became that bad, no matter what the doctor prescibed, it would go away for a couple of weeks then come back worse than ever. In other words it was not getting better. My doctor sent me to a skin specialist after I had suffered with this awful fungus for four years. After the skin specialist scrapped some skin from my feet to look under the microscope, he turned around and said to me that it indeed was tinea and there is new treatment. There is a new fungal ointment on the market called LamisiL. It is more expensive than other known brands, but Wow! what a relief, it went away within three days, no more staying awake at night with intense itching or soreness of the feet. I was healed thanks to the specialist and LAMISIL.
